Time to stretch those sore opening-game legs! Pickup soccer returns to the weekly schedule this Wednesday, out on the Catalpa youth fields.
If you can't make it by 7 sharp, no problem. Head on out when you can; there's plenty of daylight wiggle room.
Please bring friends, foes, whoever. (And soccer balls if you've got 'em.)
Check this space each week for info.
And remember: RSVPs are helpful for all involved...
See ya there.

Indoor Co-ed Soccer-Sundays
Hello all! If I missed anyone in the e-mail, please forward on the blog information to them.
I'm trying to put together a co-ed indoor league that will play on Sunday nights (anytime between 8pm and 10:50pm) at Liberty soccer dome at 14 mile and Mound in Sterling Heights.
The next league is full, but I want to try to get a team together that would start at the end of February. The cost would be dependent on how many players we get (probably around $65 a person). We play 8v8 on Ford Field turf with sidelines (no boards). If you have any questions or you are interested in playing, please post it here!
Thanks.

Oct. 20: Toronto | The 8th Annual Pan-American Football Derby
When: 2 p.m. Oct. 20
Where: In the shadows of the Toronto skyline
At stake: The Richard S. Johnson Memorial Trophy
Time to reclaim what's rightfully ours. Way past time, in fact.
The most funnest soccer game in the whole wide world happens every autumn, and this year it's in enemy territory.
As Robert notes in his e-mail: "For those of you who have not participated in the past, we always have a great time in Toronto. The soccer is competitive but we usually manage to have fun during the game and we definitely do at the drinking party afterwards."
Please head to the comments to add your RSVPs, thoughts, ideas and anything but our top-secret game strategies...

Sept. 2: Sunday soccer | Catalpa | 11 a.m.
Looks as if we should have a good-sized group for pickup play this fall -- we rounded up a few new folks last Sunday out at the park.
The Catalpa fields have also improved a bit from the Himalayan-like terrain of the summer. Now if somebody can show up with a ball that's juuust right...
